Assignments and Projects

 

Austin Associates Limited have completed, amongst others, the following projects and assignments:
 

·         Advised a leading international microwave communications company on how it might restructure and improve the means by which it funds exports to some seventy countries.

·         Prepared a comprehensive business plan  to reposition the Wellington Chamber of Commerce as a regional business organisation.

·         Prepared a franchisor’s entry in the New Zealand Franchise Awards 1998, a quality awards system based on the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award in the United States.

·         Researched and reported on investment opportunities in New Zealand for a client with Asian investors interested in investing in New Zealand.

·         Re-negotiated bank facilities for a Wellington book publisher.

·         Arranged cross-border leveraged leases aircraft and container ships for major international corporations. Included the use of multi-country export credit finance.

·         Arranged the private placement of debt in Japan.

·         Developed controls and mismatch authorities for the off-shore money market operations of a leading New Zealand bank.

·         Developed a structure to enable a bank to obtain off-shore funding free of withholding tax.

·         Prepared full contractual documentation to cover all parties involved in the production of “This is New Zealand”, a prestige publication designed for the overseas promotion of New Zealand.

·         Prepared a full feasibility study, including Memorandum and Articles of Association, for the establishment of an off-shore finance company.
